Tips for Playing Block Bomber

In Block Bomber, the lower the number on the block, the more frequently it appears on the game board. Because of this, it is strategically better to use your bombs to eliminate groups of higher numbers. 3s, 4s and 5s are good candidate for removal via the bomb block.

If your game board needs to be shuffled and there is not a '?' block available, the bombs are good to use.  However, it is best to wait until the bomb block has shifted at least one block away from the far left or far right.  If the bomb is detonated on the far left or far right of the game board, it will only remove 2 columns of blocks instead of 3.  It is usually worth waiting for the shift if the bomb block appears in one of the first two rows.

Using the '?' block too soon may not be optimal.  It is usually best to make sure the current game board is in a state that will not provide any matches within the next few shifts.  The blocks shift along predictable patterns, and with some practice, the player can determine if the game board is in a state where matches will be forthcoming.

Because the blocks with higher numbers will match less frequently than blocks with lower numbers, it is usually best to eliminate the blocks with the higher numbers if given a choice.

If you are going to shuffle the game board with the '?' block, it is best to detonate any bombs on the game board that will not destroy the '?' before shuffling.  Each bomb you detonate gives you a small amount of extra time.

When multiple blocks are clicked before a shift occurs, the player receives large time and point bonuses.  Because of this, it is frequently better to not click on matches, if doing so allows you to click on multiples after the next shift.
